Our History
Born in 1962, growing up in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Butch Rice watched his father work for one employer some 38 years before eventually retiring. Through that, his father taught him the importance of dedication and loyalty. In 1992 Rice saw the opportunity to start his dream; he opened a third party logistics company, Stallion Enterprises, with himself and one other employee. In 1998 Stallion Express, an asset-based full truckload carrier, was formed. It was a dream of Rice’s since his introduction to transportation 24 years earlier.
From the one-room office in North Little Rock to the corporate office in Beebe, Arkansas, Rice is fulfilling a dream of operating a total transportation company. Stallion Transportation Group stands on the foundation that Rice’s father taught him, as dedication and loyalty drive his passion for success. Success for Rice means leading a moral and Christian-minded company that supports its employees and their families.
